WOODBINE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A traffic stop in Woodbine Wednesday afternoon led to the arrest of a man on drug charges and the recovery of a Jeep Wrangler that had been stolen in Lexington, according to State Police. Investigators say 43-year old Glennis Nantz of Woodbine was pulled over on KY 6 for not wearing a seat belt.
During the traffic stop, investigators discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen in Lexington in January of this year, according to KSP. A search of the vehicle turned up a bag of Crystal Meth in a cigarette box in the front drivers seat and Suboxon strips in Nantz’s pocket, according to State Police.
When Nantz was being booked at the Whitley County Detention Center, deputy jailers say they found a small bag of Crystal Meth hidden in his clothing. Nantz was charged with a number of drug offenses and other charges, according to State Police.
The case is still under investigation.
