LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Millions of people watched the super bowl with family and friends Sunday night. It was no different for some of the homeless in Lexington.

It was a party at the Community Inn Sunday night. Everything from laughter, cheering and pizza.

“It tasted good. It’s been a long time since I’ve had some,” says a homeless man.

But it was more than just some pizza and a football game. It was about escaping life’s difficulties, at least for a few hours.

Difficulties Stewart Greene, a volunteer, says everyone has.

“Some more than other. But we try and think some pizza and the game takes away those problems for the night,” says Greene.
