KSP to raffle off 2016 Dodge RAM to help needy children


CLINTON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Kentucky State Police want to give you a chance to win a 2016 Dodge RAM 1500 Big Horn® Crew Cab 4×4 pickup truck.

It’s holding a raffle to help raise money for Trooper Island Camp for underprivileged children. The camp on Dale Hollow Lake in Clinton County is paid for entirely by donations. According to organizers, “Each year, the camp hosts approximately 700 children, providing good food, fresh air, recreation, guidance and structured, esteem-building activities designed to build good citizenship and positive relationships with law enforcement officers.”

State police say only 20,000 raffle tickets will be sold. Each one is $10. The winning ticket will be drawn August 28, at the Kentucky State Fair.

State police say, “The truck features include: a Brilliant Black Pearl-Coat exterior and Black-Diesel Gray interior; a four-door, air-conditioned crew cab with heated, leather front seats embroidered with the KSP seal on the headrest; a 5.7 liter V8 HEMI MDS VVT engine with 395 horsepower; an eight-speed automatic transmission and a five-year/60,000 mile powertrain limited warranty”
