FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – The state says Appalachian hardwoods producer GreenTree Forest Products Inc. will add 10 full-time jobs with a $2.2 million investment for equipment upgrades at its Fleming County facility. The company’s current workforce includes 45 full-time positions.
For its sawmill and pallet operation in Fleming County, GreenTree plans to buy new equipment including a 7-foot line bar resaw, a state-of-the-art 3D scanner and an optimized lineal edger. GreenTree says right now, the facility produces 8 million feet of Appalachian hardwood annually. The company says the investment should increase production by 30 percent.
