FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) — Attorney General Andy Beshear announced a Harrison Co. man recently pled guilty to conning his elderly neighbor out of more than $21,000.
More specifically, he pled guilty to one count of theft by deception, of over $10,000.
Twenty-five-year-old Raymond Wainscott of Cynthiana agreed to a five-year sentence, and to pay more than $21,000 in restitution to the woman. Wainscott was indicted by a Harrison Co. Grand Jury on the charges back in June of 2015.
“As Attorney General, I will not tolerate those who would take advantage of our seniors,” Beshear said. “We will prosecute them to the full extent of the law.”
