Suspect in Lexington murder dies, self-inflicted gun wound


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) -Lexington Police say the Montgomery Co., Ohio Coroner’s Office has confirmed that Kenyon Hipps, a suspect in a January Lexington murder, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Dayton, Ohio on Tuesday.

Police had been searching for Hipps in connection to the murder of Caleb Hallet on January 9.

Officers are still trying to find 18-year-old Marquess L. Smith, and a 17-year-old male they say were involved in the death.
