LAUREL Co., Ky. (WTVQ) — According to Sheriff John Root , Deputies were dispatched to a vehicle sitting on the side of Chestnut Road, after a caller said that a man had gotten out and started running when they stopped to offer help.
When Officers arrived on the scene, they investigated and discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen in a theft and burglary in Manchester, earlier that day.
In addition, officers at the scene found a number of car keys, apparently belonging to the car lot from which the 2001 Lincoln had been stolen.
Harry Castle, 33 year old London resident was arrested approximately 11 miles from the discovered stolen car. He allegedly admitted to stealing the car with the help of others.
Officers say Castle had been under the influence at the time of his arrest, and charged with both public intoxication from controlled substances, and receiving stolen property under $10,000. Castle was also charged on a Clay County warrant of arrest obtained by Manchester Police Department, for burglary and auto theft.
