LANCASTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington woman is behind bars after State Police say she led officers on a car chase that ended when she lost control of her car and crashed, injuring two Lincoln Co. Deputies.

According to troopers, Stanford Police attempted to stop 36-year old April Wallace, on suspicion of shoplifting.  Wallace reportedly wouldn’t stop, and led police on a pursuit from Lincoln Co. to Garrard Co.  That’s when police say she lost control of her car and crashed into a ditch on U.S. HWY 27 South.  Police say two deputies suffered minor injuries during the pursuit and while making the arrest.  Police also say Wallace hit a Deputy’s vehicle during the chase.
