LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A local church says one of its statues was badly damaged and they don’t know if it can be fixed.
Father Norman Fischer of Saint Peter Claver Catholic Church in downtown Lexington released photos of the damage.
The Lexington Herald-Leader reports vandals attacked the statue, called the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
It sits at the corner of Fourth and Jefferson.
Father Norman tells the Herald-Leader he doesn’t think the statue can be fixed and says the church doesn’t have the money to replace it.
