LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 25-year run at Natasha’s Bistro & Cafe is officially over.
In a statement released Thursday, the owners confirmed that they will not reopen the downtown Lexington staple. The bistro closed their doors last night while the owners considered options for new directions. Over several weeks, however, the release says the owners could not come up with a viable business option, and have decided not to continue with the business.
The release reads, in part, “This is a time for new ideas and fresh entrepreneurship on Esplanade,” adding that, “We are still currently under lease and would consider talking with anyone who would like to take over our space as a turnkey restaurant operation of their own design and inspiration.”
Natasha’s had been the anchor tenant at 112 Esplanade since 2001 winning the Urban Innovation Award for that year and more recently “Best Venue Award” by Lexington Music Awards.
Natasha’s began operations 25 years ago by Gene and Natasha Williams on Southland Dr as a small Russian Café.
