GRAY, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say a homeowner was assaulted, held at gunpoint and bound with duct tape and cords during a violent home invasion on Monday in Knox County. State Police say their preliminary investigation indicates that around 3:00 a.m., two men kicked-in the door at a residence off of KY 1232 in the Gray community.
KSP says that the two strangers began assaulting the 45-year old homeowner. Investigators say the suspects stole a firearm, a TV, phone and several other items before leaving. Approximately one-hour after the attack, the victim was able to free himself and run to a neighbor’s house to call 911, according to State Police.
The victim was treated and released from Baptist Health Corbin. No one else was home at the time of the crime, according to KSP.
