STANTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say a Stanton man was killed Friday afternoon when the vehicle he was driving crossed the center line of Campton Road in Powell County and collided head-on with a semi headed in the opposite direction.
The victim was identified as 24-year old Tim Addison, according to State Police. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Addison was the assistant director of Powell County Emergency Management. Prior to that, he was a dispatcher in Powell County for six years and also worked with the Middlefork Fire Department. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Hearne Funeral Home in Stanton is handling the arrangements.
The truck driver, 29-year old Claude Lowe, of Louisa, was taken to Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, where he was listed in stable condition, according to KSP.
The accident, which happened shortly after 2:00 p.m., is still under investigation, according to State Police.
