DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) -A traffic stop on Lebanon Road led to a drug arrest after officers say a woman tried to mislead them about her identity.
Officers say it happened just before 2:00 a.m. on Thursday. According to police, they had stopped the car for a traffic violation. During the stop, officers say one of the passengers, 30-year-old Kimberly Pevley Herring of Junction City, tried to convince them that she was a juvenile. When police investigated further, they discovered Herring had two active warrants and was in possession of narcotics and paraphernalia.
Herring was arrested at the scene and taken to Boyle County Detention Center. She had been charged on the outstanding warrants, possession, and giving an officer a false name or address.
