ALLEN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police say Gabrielle Doolin was cheering on her two older brothers during a football game when she went missing Saturday.
Police later found the 7 year-old’s body in a creek.
Monday an autopsy was released revealing Doolin was murdered. However, the Allen County Coroner has not revealed the cause of her death.
Family and friends of the little girl held a prayer vigil Sunday night in Scottsville. Those closest to Gabrielle including her brother are now preparing for their final good-byes.
“She was a care-free little girl. She never did nothing to nobody,” said her brother Alec Doolin. “I’m going to miss how she was so happy about everything no matter what was going on, she was always happy and made everybody feel better. I miss her.”
Police say there’s no word yet on a possible suspect or motive. Doolin’s visitation is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at Goad Funeral home. Her funeral is scheduled for Thursday at 1p.m.
According to the superintendent, Tuesday crisis counselors will be available for all students returning to school.
