LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A suspicious package was found at the Romano Mazzoli Federal Building on Tuesday, Nov. 17, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
The all clear was given by officials around noon. The Louisville Metro Police Department bomb squad was called to the building to assess the suspicious package, according to LMPD.
DHS said the package was found at the loading dock of the building and was found by a guard. The federal building was evacuated after the package was found.
This building is located in the 600 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Place.
LMPD was on the scene to assist with the situation.
Homeland Security said neighboring buildings were OK while the package was being assessed and there was no danger to the safety of those who were inside the neighboring buildings.
