He’s accused of attacking his attorney Nov. 3 as they met in a professional area at the Hamilton County Justice Center.

Deters says Pippin removed his handcuffs using a piece of metal and punched his attorney several times before being subdued by staff. Deters says the man suffered a concussion.

He didn’t elaborate on any suspected motive.

No attorney was listed for the 42-year-old Pippin in records on the new case.

He’s serving a 24-year sentence in a rape case and has rape, assault and burglary charges pending.
