LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man is arrested, accused of almost slamming head-on into a Lexington police officer’s cruiser.
Court documents say 18-year-old Demarielle Tandy was in a stolen car on Saturday morning, when police tried to make a traffic stop.
They say he tore off, going down the road in the wrong direction.
Documents say one officer had to drive off the road to avoid being hit head-on.
When police did catch up to Tandy, they say they found 80 Xanax pills.
Tandy is in the Fayette County Detention Center, charged with wanton endangerment of a police officer, trafficking, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.
