UPDATE: Weapons stolen from Lexington police vehicle recovered

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say all four weapons that were stolen from a Lexington Police vehicle parked in front of an officer’s home in Nicholasville have been recovered.

The guns were taken from the car in the early morning hours of October 24. Then, on Tuesday November 3, Lexington officers responded to a report of a man with a gun on Brodway and Angliana in Lexington. When officers arrived, the man took off running. Investigators pursued the man, and during the foot chase, police say the man threw the gun down. Officer recovered the gun, and eventually caught 19-year-old Quavon M. Winslow.

Officers discovered that the gun Winslow threw down was one of the weapons stolen from the police vehicle in October. Police say further investigation led them to locate the remaining stolen firearms. Officers also arrested 18-year-old Anthony Fomas in connection to the stolen guns. He was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property by the Nicholasville Police Department.
