LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- After a threatening message was found spray painted on Crab Orchard Elementary, the school district is closing Monday.
Lincoln County superintendent Karen Hatter says the message gave a specific time on Monday that something would happen. She says while the graffiti was contained to one school in the district, they saw it best to keep all students and staff home.
Hatter also says an area dentist’s office was spray painted with a threatening message directed toward a government building.
The district’s decision is not unlike many across Central Kentucky recently after threatening message have been discovered on campuses.
