The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. The images depicted prepubescent children engaged in sexual acts.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at King’s residence on Thursday, police say. Computer equipment was seized and taken to state police’s forensic laboratory for examination.

King is currently charged with 20 counts of possession and three counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. He was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center. Each charge is a Class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison.
