DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – An investigation into inappropriate behavior landed the former youth director at Gethsemane Baptist Church behind bars.
Danville police officers arrested Bobby Cassady around 6:00 p.m. Monday. They say they had been investigating Cassady after a 17-year old boy contacted them. Police have not given exact details, but say Cassady had sent inappropriate texts and photographs to the boy. Officers also say that during their investigation, a 15-year-old boy was also identified.
Cassady was arrested and charged with promoting sexual performance by a minor, unlawful transaction with a minor, and portraying a police officer.
The former youth director was also a volunteer with the Danville school system.
