DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – On Sunday Danville Police responded to the BBQ festival for a disturbance. Police say when they arrived a woman told them she had been struck in the right shoulder, neck and head with a brisket estimated to be between 200-250 degrees. Officials say the woman and 42-year-old Mike Owings had gotten into a disagreement over sharing a cooker. Police say Owings admitted to throwing the brisket after losing his temper but “didn’t mean for anyone to get hurt.” Owings was arrested and charged with Wanton Endangerment 2nd Degree.

The woman was treated at the scene by Boyle County EMS.
