MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (WTVQ) – Bell County Magistrate Ricky Goodin was arrested Friday in a murder solicitation case, according to State Police.
It’s the second time this year Goodin has been arrested, according to records. In March, he was arrested at his ‘County Gun & Pawn’ store for allegedly selling prescription drugs and crystal meth out of the business, according to investigators.
State Police say they were made aware of threats that Goodin reportedly made to arrange for the murder of another person.
An arrest warrant and search warrant were executed on Friday at Goodin’s business and he was arrested and charged with Criminal Solicitation and Murder, according to KSP.
He was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center on a $1 million cash bond. The case remains under investigation.
