LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say shots were fired during an argument between a man and a woman and then the man was deliberately hit by a car that sped off in the parking lot of the Eastland Center Plaza on Eastland Parkway.Police say it happened just before 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The man, whose name wasn’t released, was taken by ambulance to the hospital. The extent of his injuries wasn’t known, according to police.
Investigators say once the driver of the car is found, that person will face assault charges in connection to the hit-and-run.
Police say they don’t have a description of the driver. Police did say the car may have had a flat right front tire.
The case remains under investigation.
