MANCHESTER, Ky. (AP) — Authorities say a second suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Clay County father.
Multiple media outlets report 32-year-old Roscoe Henson was charged Wednesday with the murder of 24-year-old Trevor Dykes, who was shot on July 27.
Police say 35-year-old Thomas Miracle was arrested Tuesday and was charged with solicitation to commit murder.
Sheriff Kevin Johnson says Miracle is accused of paying Henson to kill Dykes, who was involved in a child custody dispute with his former girlfriend.
Johnson says police believe that Miracle, who was the woman’s new boyfriend, saw an opportunity to please the woman by killing Dykes and ending the custody dispute.
Both men are being held in the county jail. It is unclear if either man has an attorney.
The investigation continues.
