KSP: Wet weather could be factor in deadly collision

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – State Police say wet weather could have been a factor in a deadly two-vehicle collision that left one driver dead and the other driver injured.

The accident happened around 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday on US 60 (Lexington Road) in Clark County, according to State Police.  Investigators say a witness told them that a Ford pickup truck crossed the center line and collided with a Toyota Camry that was headed in the opposite direction.

The pickup truck driver was killed.  The driver of the car was taken to UK Hospital in Lexington, according to KSP.  No names were released.  The crash closed the busy road for a couple of hours.  The accident is still under investigation.
