HARRODSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) –Two individuals were arrested for shoplifting on June 29, after Walmart Loss Prevention watched them attempt to steal meat for the second time in two days. Elvin Spears was later arrested after being identified as the getaway driver.
Lifting products with a total value of just over $2,000, Police say Elvin R. Spears, Jason D. Rice, and Shelton Cole Pendergraft were charged with two counts of Shoplifting and two counts of 3rd degree burglary, due to a prior “No Trespass” order issued by Walmart
Items stolen included pound rolls of hamburger, rib-eye steaks, and beef loins.
Harrodsburg police say Pendergraft was also charged with Failure to Appear, for a previous theft charge, and Non Payment of Fines related to drug paraphernalia.
