Police: Juveniles rob man of car at gunpoint, then wreck it

(LEXINGTON, K.y.) – Police say juveniles robbed a man of his car then wrecked it Sunday night.

Authorities say it began around 12 p.m. Sunday in the Masterson Station area when two juveniles with a gun ordered a man to give them his car. Officers say the victim knew the suspects.  Around 10:40 p.m. Sunday, police received calls about a reckless driver on Winchester Road. Police say they saw the car get into a minor wreck and keep going. Officers followed the driver, who turned onto Brown Avenue and ultimately crashed into a fence. The driver jumped out of the car and ran away.

After running the license plate, investigators say they found that the car was stolen and that the driver was involved. They say they learned he was staying at the Motel 6 on Elkhorn Road. Investigators say they went to the motel and found the other robbery suspect and took him into custody. Authorities say that charges are now pending.
