GLASGOW, Ky. (AP) — A south-central Kentucky grand jury has indicted a 25-year-old man on murder and other charges in the death of his girlfriend’s 2-year-old daughter, whose body was found in a well last month.
Kentucky State Police said Anthony Barbour of Summer Shade was also indicted Friday on charges of tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse. Barbour was already being held in the Barren County jail on other charges.
Police said no additional information could be released.
The body of Laynee Wallace was found inside a well in Barren County on May 25, a week after she disappeared.
Online jail records did not indicate whether Barbour is represented by a lawyer.
Barbour earlier pleaded not guilty to a kidnapping charge in another case.
