Richmond Police Department and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office announce they have applied for Federal funds, in order to enhance equipment, training and support for servicing their community.
Madison County Sheriff says they are focusing on assistance for the purchase of a police vehicle for patrol efforts, while the Richmond Police Department will be focusing on worn body cameras for their officers.
This new equipment is for enhancing the effectiveness of law enforcement, aiding law enforcement patrol efforts and increasing crime prevention, officials say.
