CORBIN, Ky. (AP) — One person has died and two are injured after a boating crash on Laurel Lake Wednesday.
The Times-Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1FRgsc8 ) Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources Captain Stuart Bryant says the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. near the mouth of Rogers Creek in Laurel County.
Preliminary crash investigation shows a male was driving the Baja boat when it collided into an embankment.
Bryant said a female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The boat’s driver was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. The extent of his injuries is currently unknown.
Another male passenger was transported to Baptist Health Corbin hospital for treatment of his injuries.
