FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The state says KY 1659/ Glenns Creek Road in Franklin County is open again after slide repairs. The road was closed on April 3 because of an embankment slide along the Kentucky River. The state says it reopened Tuesday afternoon.

According to the transportation cabinet, crews repaired the road over the last week by shoring it up with rock. But officials say there are still some other areas along KY 1659 where the embankment is starting to slip. The state says repairs will be done over the next few weeks. It says Glenns Creek Road will have to close again while the work is being done.
