The City of Lexington has 60 emergency call takers who answer an estimated 600,000 calls a year. The center’s director says the job is rewarding, but sometimes stressful.
"It does have a lot of things about it that can impact you personally, especially when you’re on the phone with somebody who is having probably the most horrible day of their life," said Robert Stack, Enhanced 911 Director.
