UPDATE: Several counties coping with flooded roads overnight

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The state says several Central Kentucky roads were closed Friday night because of high waters and flooding.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the closures affect the following areas:

•Bourbon County–
KY 460/North Middletown Rd. is closed
KY 57/Levy Rd. is closed
KY 3364/Stoney Point Rd. is closed

•Fayette County –
KY 1681/Old Frankfort Pike at Red Rd. is closed

Water is over the road for portions of routes:
Leestown Rd. at the railroad underpass
Ironworks Rd.
Newtown Pike to Russell Cave Rd.
Georgetown Rd.
Old Paris Pike
Versailles Rd. at Commonwealth Baptist College
Todds Rd. – several locations

•Garrard –
US 27/Old Camp Nelson Bridge – two barges are wedged near the bridge

•Jessamine –
high water signs are posted throughout the county for routes

•Madison –
Buffalo Rd. – (county route near Richmond) bridge and roadway are washed out
US 25 closed due to a partial culvert collapse at MP 22.977.
The closure is from MP 22.457 (the intersection with KY 2878/Colonel Rd.) to MP 25.373 (the intersection with KY 627/Boonesboro Rd.).
Alternate routes –
motorists can utilize KY 2878 and KY 627

•Montgomery –
KY 1331 is closed at MP 4.0 for a washed out drain
Alternate routes – motorists can utilize Harper Ridge & Tapp Lane

•Scott –
KY 32/Josephine Rd. is closed between MP 15.0 & 18.0
KY 32/Sadieville Rd. is closed between MP 25.0 & 26.0
KY 1963/Lyle Rd. is closed between MP 4.0 & 8.0
KY 620/Burton Rd. is closed between MP 9.0 & 10.0

•Woodford –
Paynes Depot Road is closed (county route) at the Weisenberger Bridge
KY 1965/McCracken Pike is closed at MP 4.2
KY 1681/Old Frankfort Pike is closed at MP 11.67
Alternate routes –
From the east (Frankfort to Lexington) right on KY 1967/Pisgah Pike south, left on US 60/Versailles Rd.
From the west (Lexington to Frankfort) left on KY 1969/Van Meter Rd. south, right on US 60 or right on KY 1977/Yarnelton Pike north, left on US 421W
