Dear Bryan Station High School Families:
Thank you for your support and understanding while we have continued our investigation this afternoon.
As I shared with you in my earlier email, we had received a tip that a student may have had a gun on campus this morning. Although the student involved left campus this morning, we put the campus on heightened alert and immediately began an investigation with assistance from the Fayette County Public Schools Division of Law Enforcement in conjunction with Lexington Metro Police.
This is an ongoing investigation and we can assure you that every precaution is being taken to ensure the safety of our students and staff, including increased police presence at Bryan Station High School until the matter is resolved.
As always, please do not hesitate to call me with questions or concerns at 859-381-3308.
