FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Eighteenth-ranked Arkansas will put its seven-game winning streak on the line against a Kentucky team that has won 28 games in a row to open the season.
Kentucky has won its last four games by an average of 26 points, but has lost three in a row to the Razorbacks.
The teams play Saturday in Lexington, Kentucky.
Arkansas takes a 23-5 overall record into the game. Twelve conference wins so far is the Razorbacks’ most since 1995, when the Razorbacks finished as the national runnerup. The seven-game conference winning streak is its longest since 1994, when Arkansas won the national title.
In a 81-75 victory over Texas A&M on Tuesday, Arkansas had 12 steals and 12 blocks. That’s the first time the Razorbacks have done that in an SEC game.
