Streets and Roads cleaning secondary roadways

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Officials from Lexington’s division of Streets and Roads say they are now clearing streets ranked second, third and fourth priorities in their Snow Plan. The city’s first priority is clearing major roads.

Deputy director Rob Allen explains they brought in separate contractors to remove snow from crosswalks in the downtown area as well as to help clear areas of Man ‘O War.

They still ask for residents to remain patient because the volume of snow the city is experiencing is an amount that comes along about every ten years. Officials still recommend for people to stay off the roadways.
