A hit-and-run accident caused a road closure in Lexington Thursday.
 
 Police said a driver struck a gas meter, causing a gas leak, on Liberty Road near Stonewood Lane just after 4 a.m.
 
 No homes were evacuated in the area because crews said the gas was quickly dissipating
 
 The road was reopened less than two hours after the accident.
 
 Police are still looking for the driver.
