Refugee Family Honored As Habitat’s 400th Home

We have an update to a wonderful story we were able to bring you this summer.

The Mmandama Family were welcomed into their new home Sunday afternoon. The family moved to Lexington in 2010 as refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Everything they owned there was destroyed by rebels.

Memba Mmandama and his wife completed 500 hours of work on the home making them Lexington Habitat for Humanity’s 400th family to receive a home since 1986.
