Officials said crews for Kentucky Utilities worked from Tuesday night into Wednesday morning to repair a utility pole that was struck by a driver who fled the scene.
At the last report, only 12 homes were left without power.
Police said the driver involved in the accident has still not been found.
Lexington police said South Broadway is open after Kentucky Utility crews worked to repair an electricity pole Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
More than 400 people were without power near South Broadway and Waller Avenue.
Patrols had closed a portion of South Broadway for about twelve hours starting Tuesday at 9 p.m.
Officers said a car hit a utility pole that fell, bringing down power lines.
By Wednesday morning, only twelve people were without power.
