Lexington Preps for Garth Brooks Concerts

Garth Brooks will be back in the Bluegrass this weekend for the first time in 16 years.

More than 80,000 people are expected in the Downtown area this weekend for the concerts.

“It’s going to be very busy downtown,” said Peter Kiely, co-owner of McCarthy’s Irish Bar on Upper Street.
Kiely is bringing in his full staff to work the nights of the concerts.
“I just want it to go nice and smooth and hopefully everyone has a good time and then when the good times are over people will come back next week when it’s quieter because they had such a good time,” said Kiely.
