A lighting ceremony was held to go along with trick-or-treating for the children on campus.
The event was a collaboration between the university and community.
Transylvania invited local school children to take part in a pumpkin carving contest and display them with an estimated 300 jack-o’-lanterns carved by the university students.
All the pumpkins carved by the Transylvania students were grown on a Garrard County farm.
The general public was also invited to display carved pumpkins.
