Homes, barns and other buildings in the Scott County community were damaged by the powerful winds and rain.
Ollie ‘James’ Turner was home when the storm hit.
"I heard it all at once start roaring. And I said, ‘That’s a tornado. We got to go to the bathroom or something.’ We didn’t have time. It came through there in a split-second…Then we came outside and everything was blown everywhere," said Turner.
Turner’s home was damaged.
He said his family was able to safely ride out the storm.
At least three other neighboring homes on Stonetown Road had storm damage.
And a 70-foot barn was blown over by the winds.
