Ex U.K. Basketball Star Accused Of Stealing $14,000 In Apple Products

Police in Scottsdale, Arizona accused former U.K. basketball star Rex Chapman of shoplifting $14,000 in merchandise from an Apple store.

Chapman, 46, was arrested Friday.

Investigators said that on several occasions, Chapman made it look like he was paying at a self-checkout.

But police said he was instead shoplifting from the store.

According to investigators, Chapman was being held on suspicion of nine counts of organized retail theft and five counts of trafficking in stolen property.

Chapman was a star for the Kentucky Wildcats in the 1980’s.

He was a first-round draft pick of Charlotte in 1988.

During his twelve year NBA career, he also played for Washington, Miami and Phoenix.
