Man Charged in Standoff at His Mother’s Home

It took 11 members of law enforcement and several hours to convince a Rowan County man to leave his mother’s home after officers tried to serve him with an arrest warrant, according to State Police.

During the standoff Thursday night, troopers learned that JB Traylor, 35, was allegedly holding his girlfriend and their infant child against their will at the Midland residence.

KSP said Traylor finally gave himself up with no further incident after numerous hours of negotiations.

He was charged with unlawful imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a minor and violating a Kentucky emergency protective order/domestic violence order.

Traylor was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
