Lexington PD: Argument Between Neighbors Results in Gunfire

An argument between neighbors escalated to at least one shot being fired Monday afternoon, according to Lexington Police.

They said it happened just before 3 at Wilson Downing Road and Camelot Drive, when one of the men used a handgun to fire into another man’s backyard.

According to officers, the bullet struck the door of the neighbor’s vehicle.

The neighbors admitted to police that this is the latest incident in an ongoing dispute.

Officials also believe the suspected gunman was intoxicated when he opened fire.

No one was hurt in the exchange.

The suspect, who has not been named at this time, has been charged with wanton endangerment.
