A mother and her boyfriend have confessed to forcing their four-year-old to eat hot sauce and vinegar as punishment, according to an arrest warrant.

Brittany Herbst and James Ford have been charged with criminal abuse after being accused of force feeding the child hot sauce and vinegar multiple times between May and June in Bullitt County.

Investigators said they learned of the incidents after the child was taken to an area hospital for a head injury.
