United States Army Specialist Earl Wilson was hurt twice fighting in Vietnam. First a hand grenade exploded and injured him they just 18 days later a landmine exploded. Both injuries happened January 1971.
Once Wilson healed, he continued to fight and was honorably discharged six months later.
Wilson should have been awarded the Purple Heart but he didn’t get it until 43 years later.
