Patchy thunderstorms disrupted operations at a Harrison County water plant Monday evening.
An employee said he doesn’t know how much it will cost to fix the roof at Cynthiana Water Works. One person was inside, no one was injured when that roof was lifted off the building in Harrison County Monday night during storms.
The only employee that was there, Gene Fuller said it happened at 8 p.m. sharp. He was in the office when he heard what he described as a roar.
Looking outside, Fuller said he saw the roof of Cynthiana Water Works in the parking lot. The damage also made three large holes in the ceiling of the building, according to Fuller but operations didn’t come to a stop at anytime during the damage.
Other than the building, trash cans were tossed around and part of the roof landed on Fuller’s vehicle, damaging it as well.
Fuller says nothing inside the building was damaged other than some maps that got wet.
