Fayette County Clerk Don Blevins told ABC 36 that Tuesday’s low turnout for the primary election meant no lines for voters throughout the county.

At the election’s halfway point, Blevins said Lexington was on track to see a 25-30 percent turnout.

He noted there were minimal problems as the day progressed. According to Blevins, one voting location opened about 15 minutes late after workers had difficulty getting into the building.

He said there were also a couple of minor problems with the voting machines, but they didn’t result in any downtime.
